24 Weeks Pregnant

You may or not know this already but I am currently carrying my second child. We have already found out the sex and we will be introducing another little princess into our family.
baby scan
This pregnancy has been different to my first which is not what I was expecting I knew before I took the test that I was pregnant I had been feeling sick for two weeks prior. The sickness thankfully has been the same as my previous pregnancy and only been nausea however the nausea with this pregnancy was a lot worse, I found that ginger biscuits were my absolute best friend.
I am showing a lot more this time around and have gone up a clothes size whereas in my first pregnancy I was in the same size the entire way through. I could fit into my old jeans but I would be so uncomfortable and the baby tends to not like tight clothing otherwise she kicks like mad.
I was convinced that I was carrying a boy of all the different symptoms and how different this pregnancy has been to when I carried my first child. We paid for an early scan as my husband was unable to make the first scan due to unchangeable work commitments. So whilst on holiday in Huddersfield myself, my partner daughter and my mother all went to see the baby. It was rather special for my mother as she has never attended one of her grand-babies scans before.
My daughter was so happy when the technician told us I was carrying a little girl as she had told everyone that it was a girl and that was that.
I have an anterior placenta which means the placenta is at the front of my stomach, they did say that you will probably not feeling the first flutter's but just feel the bigger movements once the baby is further along. However, this was not the case with me I felt her moving very early on mainly when lay very still or in the bath (she still kicks a lot whilst I am taking a bath). She can certainly make herself known now and it can get rather uncomfortable as she tends to push herself outwards which causes discomfort as you can imagine.
My emotions are rather fragile at the moment. Recently I cried an awful lot when my partner left for his deployment but I always do. The oddest onset of tears was when my car decided to play silly buggers and tell me low battery. His boss took a look the following day and said everything seems fine, ran some test with a prong looking thing and said the battery seemed fine to him, he checked my oil and it was very low, so I did a quick trip to the nearest Halford's bought some oil and then he very kindly filled it back up for me. I shouted at life in general for screwing things up when he leaves as it is just typical.
That is the basic of how this pregnancy has been so far. If you liked this let me know and I can update again in a few weeks.
Have any of you dealt with pregnancy and your husband or significant other being away how did you cope?
Signing off.
Naomi.
